I was playing around with a setting that blurs the top & bottom of the photo. I don't know if I'm thrilled with this, but oh well. I like the buds already sprouting!

Action shot! This girl moves so quickly that a lot of my mid-action shots end up blurry. But I used a special setting on my camera that snaps a few photos in quick succession. It worked! I will be using this setting a lot more, I'm sure.

We did some hiking at the Botanical Gardens. I really wanted a nice photo of Dan & Leah, but of course she wouldn't cooperate. Still, my hubby looks good. :) We also wandered around a local nursery afterward, where there were bunches of beautiful camellias. This one may simply be the most perfectly shaped flower I've ever seen!

My husband surprised me BIG time on this day. Without telling me, he took the day off work and made me a hair appointment. Would not tell me any other details except that he wanted me to see myself how he sees me. Next stop was a large mall, where I was instructed to purchase a dress. After all this, he took me to a photographer's studio for a glamorous photo shoot! I was super nervous but it ended up being an amazing experience that left me feeling strong, confident, and beautiful. I am so grateful for the romantic man that I married. :)

So, yeah, I didn't personally take any photos that day, but I was the subject of them, which I feel is good enough. ;) These are a few of my favorites:

Leah & I went out for cupcakes at our new favorite cupcake shop in town. She was such a good sport about tagging along to all my errands throughout the week, so this was a fun treat. Leah chose the one with the blue icing (a special Winter Wonderland cupcake in honor of the Groundhog seeing his shadow) and I chose English Toffee. Yum!

Dan has been working tirelessly on scraping and sanding the popcorn ceiling upstairs, in what will be Leah's playroom, and after also playing outside for awhile on Saturday, he was sore and just needed to lie down! Naturally, Leah had to make sure he was OK. ;)

Here I was, trying not to bother her with pictures and just focus on the dogs but she kept sitting right in my line of sight and giggling, so I think she was OK with the paparazzi today. ;)

Mmmm, bread. :) This was my first loaf of homemade honey wheat bread in the bread machine. It was delicious! And so ridiculously easy to make. (Can I marry a kitchen appliance?) I served some with dinner and because it was so good, we polished off over half the loaf. Whoops! I made another loaf the next day, which has lasted much longer. :)

Tried snapping a photo of Leah dancing to the radio, but as soon as I got this fuzzy one, she got mad at me for taking pictures again, so this is all I have for this day. LOL

I use this shelf in the family room to feature different Cherished Teddies throughout the year, since I have such a large collection. I set out my Valentine's Day bears, along with a few other sweet ones. :)

Leah asked to go to the Botanical Gardens on Sunday, where we walked a couple trails. I was rather happy with the focus on these two photos.
